The Mission
Stories About Who We Become
Post-apocalyptic fiction has always been about more than disaster. At its best, it's a mirror β showing us who we are when stripped of comfort, routine, and the systems we take for granted.
Rufo House Publishing was founded to tell those stories with honesty and depth. Not action for its own sake. Not heroes who never doubt. But real people β complex, flawed, resilient β navigating impossible circumstances.
Every book is grounded in real Melbourne locations, real human psychology, and a genuine belief that survival is as much a moral journey as a physical one.
Character First
Every story begins with people β their histories, their wounds, their contradictions. The apocalypse is the setting. The characters are the story.
Grounded in Reality
Set in real Melbourne streets. Informed by real science. Driven by real human behaviour under pressure.
Bilingual by Design
Published in English and Spanish β because great stories belong to everyone, regardless of language.
